"I made the most epic throw of my life on a Lotad in the middle of the Costa Rican Jungle today."
#PokemonGO: Moments like these are what the game is all about to me.So i'm in Costa Rica for vacation and as such have not had much chance to play pokemon go. I have no cell service so I can only check PoGo when I can connect to Wifi, usually at the hotels. So I have still not had a chance to gain stamps towards Raikou because I have not come in contact with any actual pokestops. So I end up realizing that in my research tasks I have one for land an excellent throw for stardust reward. So to my excitement I realize, that if i can land that excellent throw, I'll at least be able to get one stamp towards Raikou. I wasn't expecting to finish it today because ive only been catching about 2 or 3 pokemon a day here.So we're going through the costa rican jungle and we end up wandering near a resort that had wifi access. I decided, what the heck, let's see if there's any pokemon here. So i bust out my device and connect and it's rainy weather and a single Lotad pops up. Now, i instantly realize this will be my only chance for the day at getting that precious stamp. But an excellent on a Lotad? That would be near impossible and certainly unprecedented. THis Lotad was just under 100 CP, so if the ball touched it i knew it would secure the catch. So i knew I had only one chance at my stamp for the day. So i get the circle to where i think is right and I wait an excruciating 5 minutes for it to attack for the first time. With sheer focus and determination, I focused all of my pokeskills into this single throw. Lo and behold - to my extreme excitement, I landed the Excellent and got my stamp!! One of the happiest moments in pogo for me, I'm still high from the rush of it all 5 hours later.tldr: Had one single throw for the day to get my stamp and nailed an almost impossible throw whilst wandering through the jungle in a foreign country. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2vjT4V9
