"Thanks Niantic for Community Days"

#PokemonGO: Obligatory sorry if this violates any rules.I live in a semi small town that is growing at a moderate pace. We have 2 parks in my town that have more than 5 pokestops. For the past two community days I went to the park that is across the street from my work that has roughly 15 pokestops.I almost never do any raids. I don’t even have the bronze tier of the raid win medal. This is because whenever I think of trying there is no other people around so I very rarely do a 1-2 Star raid for research goals.Shiny umbreon is my all time favorite Pokémon and so I went extremely hard for shiny eevees and (based on seeing complaints in this sub Reddit) am very fortunate that I ended up finding one over my 6 hours of encounters. The park that I went to had a large majority of the hardcore Pokémon Go players from my town all walking back and forth searching for that coveted 100% IV Shiny Eevee.Today about halfway through the event, a Registeel raid started and I decided I would attempt my very first legendary raid. 16 people hopped in and we quickly downed the legendary Pokémon. The rewards are amazing for completing it and I was lucky enough to catch Registeel as well.I just want to thank Niantic for creating these days where casual players/small town players can all get together and catch rare Pokémon and complete raids they normally couldn’t ever complete. These days are really great for people that don’t normally have the same opportunities as people in large cities have and I think it was an overall great move by Niantic.Again sorry if this violates rules. I’m a bit tipsy and very excited to start walking my 50% shiny Eevee so I can hopefully get my shiny umbreon. Also I wrote this on mobile sorry if formatting is off. Hope you all had a fun community weekend! via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2nyfRbn
