"Eggs are not items. Eggs are Pokemon."
#PokemonGO: Since there have been a number of posts asking about event timing and so forth, I thought I'd throw this out there. I have found it helpful, and I'm hoping others will too, to not think of eggs as items that turn into pokemon. Eggs are, in fact, already pokemon, they're just "hidden". Hatching an egg doesn't cause it to become a pokemon, it simply reveals to you what the game had already determined that pokemon to be.That means most of us have 9 hidden pokemon in our storage. Those pokemon have already been determined, their IVs and movesets rolled. Any changes to the egg "pool", any moveset changes, any switches to distance needed to hatch, will not affect those 9 pokemon. The only thing you can do with them is reveal them by hatching.Hope this helps. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2x20GMP
