Click here .There may be more to it than just an event but this is all that we can go off of since there hasn't been any leaks from any of our reliable sources as of yet. I do remember one of them saying something about an evolution event for pokémon that evolve in gen4 though. Just going to put that out there. But yeah it could literally be anything. A wave of unreleased gen3 along with smeargle, dust, candy and XP rewards all rolled into one (unlikely). Anything. So until Niantic makes a move we're on the outside looking in I'm sad to say.
