"Sorry if im beating a dead horse here, but this 7k egg "event" is the worst thing niantic has done to players, and im tired of seeing excuses defending their actions"

#PokemonGO: Edit: ITT people who didnt read what i posted, made assumptions based on the title and are making assumptions that contradict everything i said.First off, i apologize for the long rant. Im just really frustrated and want to vent this out.Look im not entitled or anything. I dont expect that every egg i hatch from a 7k egg to be a regional pokemon, thats not what upsets me about this event. What upsets me is that they highlighted specifically regionals being added into the mix of 7k eggs, to hype people up to trade and buy more incubators...and then made them a small hatch chance IN ADDITION to adding in tangela and porygon into the 7k's with a much higher spawn chance to make it even harder to get them. 7k isnt exactly a small walk, thats like a 45 minute walk if you walk fast, or over an hour if you walk slow.Look i get it, niantic wants to make money. But this event was meant to give back to players as a thank you for playing the game during the summer and months prior. I cant help but feel like its a slap in the face to fans to dangle exclusive pokemon in front of them, have them walk 7k to hatch an egg, and then that egg hatches something that was previously in a 5k egg. If they wanted to add new pokemon to the 7k egg pool they should have chosen something more rare for the event. Lapras, chansy, snorlax, or dratini would have been great additions to the egg pool so at least fans dont get overwhelmingly disappointed when they finally walk those 7km, or 4.7km and hatch something that was common in a 5k egg.Ive seen a lot of people in discord and reddit defending niantic here, but i really just dont see how you can possibly defend this. Imagine if community day hyped up larvitar, and you took off work to go out and play, and only 3 spawned while 80 belsprout spawned in addition. Imagine if niantic said "well you should have assumed we would have others spawn as well i mean cmon!"If this was a permanent addition to the game id be fine with this. I wouldnt care in the slightest...but a 3 week event with low spawns in a cluttered 7k egg pool filled with overwhelming pokemon is just a really low move. Im at the point where i dont even want to open 7k eggs anymore because im disappointed with the results. So far ive hatched 24 7k eggs and only got 2 regionals (both from my region) and a ton of meowth and geodude. For a short event this is unacceptable, and niantic should apologize for misleading their players.Either add regionals permanently to the 7k egg pool, reduce the walking distance from gifted eggs from 7k to 5k for the event, or up the spawns of the regionals and remove tangela and porygon.End rant via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2NdDiWP
