"99,999,999 XP down, many more to go!"

#PokemonGO: Proof: https://imgur.com/a/cShr7BnA lot has changed since I turned (almost) 40 last year. We've seen Pokemon Go introduce a revamped gym system, raids, and trading. Prestiging has been replaced by Golden Razz meta, and with raiding, improved catch bonuses, and friendship bonuses, XP has become easier to earn than ever.Last year, my primary method for reaching 19,999,999 was built around setting the units digit using prestiging. With prestiging removed, I had to use a different means of setting the units digit. While I had to retool my methodology, the new friendship XP bonuses made the whole process much more forgiving. I ended up saving 3 Best Friend bonuses (+200k * 3 = +600k with lucky egg) to use as my final step, so if I accidentally went over my target number (in this case 99,399,999), I could simply hold off and try again at 99,X99,999 rather than delete my account and start from scratch.Prerequisites:Make sure you aren't incubating any eggsTalk to your friends to make sure they won’t level up your friendships early. I’d recommend Discord, Facebook, or Noctowl.Have enough evolvable Pokemon or friendship bonuses to hit your targetHave easy access to a friendly (same team) bronze gym, or a friendly silver gymA lucky egg (optional)Methodology:Set the units digitThere are five events in the game that change the units digit (Silph XP Table)Pokemon runs away: +25 (use Pogo Plus to force a run, or just try to catch a Murkrow)Spin friendly non-bronze gym: +31Spin friendly bronze gym: +63Spin friendly silver gym: +94Spin friendly gold gym: +125I focused on using friendly bronze and silver gyms to manipulate the units digit. If you like flow charts as much as I do, you can use the flow charts linked at the bottom of the post (start at the square labelled with your units digit).Bronze Gym: If your units digit is 2, 5, 8, or 1, first spin a gold gym or make a Pokemon run away. Next, spin a friendly bronze gym until you have a 9 for your units digit.Silver Gym: If your units digit is 8, 2, 6, 0, or 4, first spin a gold gym or make a Pokemon run away. Next, spin a friendly silver gym until you have a 9 for your units digit.Set the tens digitThere are several ways to set the tens digit. You get +10 for a curveball, and +20 for feeding a gym pokemon a berry. If your tens digit is even, hit a curveball after tossing first to avoid the +50 first ball bonus. Now that your tens digit is odd, feed berries to get to 9.Set the hundreds digitYou can spin stops (+100), or feed berries (batches of 5 for +100)Set the thousands digitLucky egg and evolve Pokemon (+1000). Coordinate with your friends to level up your friendships.Slideshow illustrating the last step of the process, starting at 99,398,999: https://ift.tt/2qEKkpO of the last evolve (sound and music are on): https://ift.tt/2FbMyHh digit flow charts: https://ift.tt/2qErNtw via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2Ph9Gst
