"How every ability could work in PoGo Vol. 1: Overgrowth - Tangling Hair"

#PokemonGO: Shedinja's release would have been the perfect time to add abilities. People often insist abilities would be too complicated to be added, so I'm making a list of every ability in gens 1-4 and proposing a way they could be added relatively easily.In addition, some Pokemon have hidden abilities. I propose that hidden abilities be acquired through Special Research, Breakthroughs, and Community Days. In addition, abilities should be changeable with Ability Capsules, which should be exceedingly rare Raid and Research rewards. So, without further ado, away we go!Overgrow: The user's Grass moves gain double the usual weather boost.Chlorophyll: The user gains energy twice as quickly in sunny weather.Thick Fat: The user gains +1 resistance to Fire and Ice.Blaze: Like Overgrow for Fire.Solar Power: The user's Fire moves gain triple the usual weather boost on defense, but the user's motivation also decreases twice as fast.Tough Claws: Boosts the following moves by 20%: Aerial Ace, Aqua Tail, Bite, Body Slam, Brick Break, Bullet Punch, Cross Chop, Crunch, Cut, Dig, Dragon Claw, Dragon Tail, Drill Run, Dynamic Punch, Fire Fang, Fire Punch, Flame Charge, Fury Cutter, Grass Knot, Gyro Ball, Ice Punch, Iron Head, Iron Tail, Low Kick, Metal Claw, Meteor Mash, Night Slash, Outrage, Poison Jab, Power-Up Punch, Quick Attack, Rock Smash, Scratch, Shadow Claw, Steel Wing, Thunder Punch, Wing Attack, Submission, Sucker Punch, X-Scissor, Zen Headbutt, Skull Bash, Razor Shell, Superpower, Crabhammer, Lunge, Blaze Kick, Fell Stinger, Leach Life, Crush Claw, and Drain Punch.Drought: Sets the weather to Sunny for the duration of the battle. Does not work against raid bosses. If two weather-changing abilities are used in a gym battle, the defender's is favored.Torrent: Overgrow but for Water.Rain Dish: This Pokemon's motivation increases over in rain instead of decreasing.Mega Launcher: Boosts the following moves by 20%: Dark Pulse, Dragon Pulse, Water Pulse, and Origin Pulse.Shield Dust: Incoming attacks are not affected by weather boost.Run Away: This Pokemon will automatically leave gyms after collecting the maximum amount of coins possible. Will not leave if the daily coin limit has been reached.Shed Skin: This Pokemon has a tripled chance to drop a candy when fed in gyms.Compound Eyes: When this Pokemon is your buddy, the catch circles of wild Pokemon are 25% larger.Tinted Lens: The user's attacks ignore one of the opponent's resistances. (E.g. Bug moves will do normal damage to Entei but singularly reduced damage to Moltres.)Swarm: Overgrow but for Bug.Sniper: This Pokemon's attacks cannot be dodged.Adaptability: The user's STAB bonus is doubled.Keen Eye: When this Pokemon is your buddy, you can see spawns in a larger area.Tangled Feet: When the user dodges, it gains +3 energy.Big Pecks: When this Pokemon's motivation decreases, its defense stat remains unaffected.No Guard: The user and its opponent cannot dodge or have their moves dodged.Guts: The user's attacks deal doubled damage when at 50% motivation or less.Hustle: The user's quick moves deal -1 damage but gain +2 energy.Intimidate: Pokemon KOd in gyms lose motivation at an increased rate when an intimidator is in the party.Unnerve: Pokemon KOd by an Unnerve user gain half motivation from being fed berries, including Golden Razz Berries.Static: When the user is KOd, the attacker takes damage equivalent to a Discharge from the user.Lightning Rod: The user gains +2 resistances to Electric.Surge Surfer: The user gains energy twice as quickly in rain.Sand Veil: The user can dodge in the middle of an animation, cancelling it, but only in sunny weather.Sand Rush: Surge Surfer but for sun.Snow Cloak: Sand Veil but for snow.Slush Rush: Surge Surfer but for snow.Poison Point: Static but for Sludge.Rivalry: When this Pokemon is your buddy, all Pokemon caught from incense or spawned by lures will be the same gender as your buddy.Sheer Force: This Pokemon's charged moves deal 50% more damage but have a 2-second longer animation.Cute Charm: When this Pokemon is your buddy, it works like a permanent incense (capped at 10 spawns a day) that attracts other Pokemon with this ability.Magic Guard: This Pokemon does not take damage inflicted by abilities.Friend Guard: This Pokemon's allies in battle do not take damage inflicted by abilities but this Pokemon does not.Unaware: Nullifies all abilities which modify type interactions.Flash Fire: Lightning Rod but for Fire.Snow Warning: Drought but for hail.Competitive: This user deals 20% more damage to enemy Pokemon with more battles won.Frisk: When this Pokemon is your buddy, it frisks Pokestops for an extra item on each spin.Inner Focus: Big Pecks but for attack.Infiltrator: This Pokemon can be placed into gyms while they are under attack, but only once every thirty minutes.Stench: Cute Charm but for Poison types.Effect Spore: Static but for Sludge Bomb.Healer: When this Pokemon gains motivation from berries, all other Pokemon in the gym receive 50% of it as well. Does not work with Golden Razz berries. The feeder does not receive additional stardust but may receive additional candies from any of the Pokemon in the gym.Dry Skin: Loses motivation three times as fast in sun, but gains motivation at the loss rate in rain.Damp: The user does not take additional damage from STAB or Weather Boost affected Fire, Grass, and Ground moves.Wonder Skin: This Pokemon gains doubled energy from taking damage.Arena Trap: Pokemon cannot be switched when battling the user.Tangling Hair: When this Pokemon is your buddy, wild Pokemon may get tangled up in its hair, halving their flee rate. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2DjLpvF
