"I believe LGP/E is a surprisingly refreshing take on the franchise, and would gladly buy similar remakes of other generations."

I’ve played since the games were first released in North America, and I was hesitant about getting LGP, but I caved. And I don’t regret it. Beside a minor few QoL changes/bugs, this honestly feels like the way Pokémon is intended to play: gotta catch em all. You pretty much HAVE to catch a lot of Pokémon, but the emphasis on battles remains practically unchanged (except held items/natures).The only in-hindsight criticism that really holds up is the Pokémon in generation 1 are now boring because we are accustomed to having a lot more Pokémon available to us. So it isn’t criticism really, just frustration at being withheld to the original 151. Gen 1 has really cool Pokémon and the rest are relatively uncool. That’s literally the worst part of LGP/E, and it isn’t even worth complaining about honestly. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/2PEGzzt
