"I just have to say it: The Spiritomb mini special research was really neat"
#PokemonGO: Ever since I was dreaming of quests in Pokémon, I didn't only think of what types of quests they could release, but also how they could incorporate them during events or even create special events with a mini storyline. Another game I am playing has at least one event running nearly 24/7 where you have to concentrate on tasks you would or would not normally do (or maybe not that much). While catching 108 Pokémon, throwing 108 berries, etc. was nothing outstanding (loved the number games though), I still enjoyed it and was really happy they even included silver pinaps! And allowing players to complete the special research after the event end if they started the special research was a really nice move from them as well.I really hope they will continue utilizing special researches for events outside the regular 'X type Pokémon boosted' ones or the monthly changing field research tasks. Like a limited (like two weeks) special mini research where you visit Candela (Valor team leader) and have to help her analyze fighting mechanics by fighting gyms for max pots or even TMs or where Spark (Instinct team leader) talks to you about the mystery of hatching eggs where you have to hatch eggs for an incubator or two in the end, I think you get the drill.Or a Team Rocket themed event where you have to do specific tasks in order to make them vanish - I am open for anything at this point and there could be so much different stuff that would spice things up a little bit even without adding a shiny or boost specific spawns!I just had to say it, the special research was really refreshing - kudos to Niantic. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2SJaRz1
