"It’s time to let legendaries be placed in gyms, Niantic"

#PokemonGO: Regice. Registeel. Regirock. Giratina. Cresselia. What do all of the Pokémon I’ve listed have in common? Oh that’s right. They’re all some sort of tank/wall. The way these Pokémon are meant to play in the main series is by following the philosophy “a good offense is a good defense” and using their amazing defensive and stamina capabilities to sponge hits and outlast the competition. Sure, they won’t be killing you in one hit like Mewtwo or Rayquaza. However, they can take some of the strongest attacks in the game without breaking a sweat and that’s what makes them awesome and worth using. However, as you know, in GO, these five are nothing more than dex filler because they aren’t able to play the roles they’re meant to.Nearly every month since June has had a legendary that is just a dex filler, the ONLY exception being Mewtwo. This, in return, creates an extremely unhealthy raid scene where people only want to do tier 5 raids for one, MAYBE two weeks and then, if you didn’t get the Pokémon, you’re out of luck.I know this is an argument that falls on deaf ears but all of this is why we need to be able to place legendaries in gyms. Because this is how we’re going to be able to get use out of tanky/wall legendaries. It would not be unbalanced. Pre-patch Blissey was 10x more unbalanced than any legendary would ever be. Even post-patch Blissey would likely remain the best defender.I propose a system where each gym is permitted to have ONE legendary in it. That way, you’ve got the best of both worlds. Pokémon like Cresselia and the Regis (Regirock especially since he actually is blessed with an amazing moveset for defense) would be worth powering up and be able to show their true power as gym defenders, but this wouldn’t completely make every single other Pokémon useless because you’d still have another five non-legendary spots to be filled with Blisseys, Chanseys, Snorlaxes, Togekisses, etc.Additionally, this would also lead to a much healthier raid scene because people wouldn’t just raid for one tanky legendary and call it quits for a month and, instead, they would want to raid over and over to try to get multiple high IV ones to throw in gyms along with loads of candy to power them up withPlease, Niantic. I know you won’t listen, but please allow us one legendary per gym via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2QWSyVC
