"My first raid experience(s) yesterday was amazing. I met so many nice people"
#PokemonGO: I’m a very casual player who just plays Pokémon go in my town of 20,000 people. I play it just so I have something to do with my hands when I rollerblade 5 miles every day. I take down gyms as what I feel the only instinct member in my town (but I’ll say the gym fills after I take it down) but that’s about it.Well I saw that there was a gengar raid at both of the gyms nearest my route, and I saw a kid just sitting on a metal turtle. I skated over to him and asked what he was doing. Apparently he was playing Pokémon Go and waiting on 3 people to come he knew from an app called discord.Long story short I ended up doing 6 raids of groups between 4-12 (or so) people. Apparently there was a very good chance to find a shiny gengar. I didn’t find one myself but I’m not disappointed at all. I had a lot of fun.One lady in particular was very nice, she offered to give me a ride to the nearby post office to do a few more raids and all the way back to where we originally met so I could skate home easily. She tried to trade me some really strong Pokémon I could use in exchange for some of my worst even. It didn’t work out as much as we wanted cause I was only lvl 24 and she’s a 30some.Yesterday was a really fun day and I’m going to try to actually get into the game. But quick question, how do I use the discord app, apparently there’s a group for Pokémon go for my specific town, but I can’t figure out how to get into the group. I don’t know how to find groups or nothing, it’s a pretty confusing app. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2yU8Mb7
