"We should have the Kanto Gym Leaders as Bosses!"

#PokemonGO: So it got me thinking, with PvP on the horizon, it would be totally cool if Niantic put in a new type of "raid battle" that's totally refreshing while not necessarily changing things up: Gym Leader battles. The idea is that, like an egg, a Gym Leader will come over for a limited amount of time at a gym location. You would then battle them 1v1 in a 6 Pokemon battle, no items allowed. Like a raid, if you win, you get prizes, and the higher the tier of gym leader, the better the prizes (and, of course, the harder the battle, with higher IVs, CP and better moves on every Pokemon). If a friend is also battling the gym leader in the same gym, your Pokemon could receive a small boost to help it beat the gym; the effect could be stackable with multiple friends.Tier 1: BrockBrock would use Golem, Onix, Aerodactyl, Kabutops, Omastar, and Rhydon.Tier 2: Misty and L.T. SurgeMisty would use Starmie, Seaking, Golduck, Vaporeon, Gyarados, and Dewgong.L.T. Surge would use Raichu, Jolteon, Electabuzz, Electrode, Magneton, and Alolan Golem.Tier 3: Erika and KogaErika would use Tangela, Vileplume, Parasect, Victreebell, Exeggutor, and Alolan Exeggutor.Koga would use Venomoth, Muk, Gengar, Weezing, Golbat, and Alolan Muk.Tier 4: Sabrina and BlaineSabrina would use Alakazam, Mr. Mime, Slowbro, Jynx, Hypno, and Alolan Raichu.Blaine would use Arcanine, Magmar, Rapidash, Ninetales, Flareon, and Alolan Marowak.Tier 5: BlueBlue would use a randomized combination from the following Pokemon: Pidgeot, Exeggutor, Gyarados, Machamp, Alakazam, Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Tauros, Rhydon, Aerodactyl, Arcanine, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Flareon. The only guarantee is that he'll use one starter and one Eevelution that compliments the starter's type. This makes Blue the toughest Leader to beat, and rightfully so.It could also be that, depending on your level with the gym and the color of it upon battling, you can win more XP, dust, and rare prizes. The Sinnoh Stone could be one such prize that the Gym Leaders could give away. You could also possibly receive a Premium Raid Pass or coins from defeating Tier 4 or 5 gym leaders. Finally, there could be an item that gives you a small pick-me-up in the middle of a match to make it slightly easier. To battle the Gym Leaders, you could probably get a once-a-day pass similar to raids. When you defeat them all and collect all 8 badges, perhaps you could win a special prize. So it's kind of recurring: every 8 badges nets you a really neat prize. Maybe a 100% IV encounter, an egg with a guaranteed rare Pokemon, a legendary, or lots of rare items, etc. Maybe even a PKMN Trainer Red outfit to commemorate your victories. They could also have different themes running every few months or so, so other regions' gym leaders, champions, the syndicate teams (Giovanni and Team Rocket would be crazy fun), and even special trainers like Oak and the Mystic/Valor/Instinct leaders themselves. Finally, this could tie in super well with the recent release of Let's Go! via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2FxkDBz
