"Wheelchair distance not being counted for Adventure Sync"

#PokemonGO: I use a wheelchair. When activating Adventure Sync on my iPhone, I noticed there was an option for wheelchair distance. This doesn't surprise me, since iOS can track that. However, my immediate concern became, "Sure, it's being tracked. But is it being counted for rewards, the same way as steps are?"After going on a few raids and playing yesterday, I found out: No.It is practically the ONLY category that's tracked but not being considered for rewards. Everything else seems to count as usual. This seems to be a huge oversight on Niantic's part. Just because I am physically unable to walk, I don't get the same "steps counted" advantages as everyone else. Why not count wheelchair distance as steps? As a wheelchair user, it already feels like swimming against the tide when I play this game, with the many non-wheelchair accessible gyms/stops/raids out there. By rewarding steps but NOT wheelchair distance, it feels even worse now. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2QfKKOm
