"Can we talk about how cool the ORAS player's dad, Norman, is? He's one of my all time favorite gym leaders."
I mean, first of all, look at this guy's final room -https://ift.tt/2G5gsxa know he's got shit figured out if it looks like this. When you enter, he's meditating. What I would give to have a place like that for meditation, holy cow dude.Second of all, he's the only gym leader in ORAS that feels like he's just using a weaker team because he knows this is just a regional gym and it's meant to be hard for a certain skill level of trainers. Like you just know this dude's beaten the elite four before. And thirdly, just the design of his gym. It's so simple. It feels real. It feels like if Pokemon gyms existed in real life, they'd be (more or less) similar to how old style dojo's looked in Japan. It'd be so cool to be one of his pupils and train every day in his gym. Idk man. It could be designed better, but the simple room to room progression seems adequate for a gym challenge in a game. For all these reasons he's my favorite gym leader, and that feels good, because i've never had a favorite gym leader before. Well, when I was a kid I really loved Brock, still do, because of how he was just a regular guy who was the oldest sibling raising all of his brothers and sisters as best he could - like Brock was probably realistically 20-26 age range when Ash met him in the anime. But whatever, I digress.Who's your favorite gym leader? via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/2QB9rbz
