"Just found out I was on the mirage island as a kid"

Just watched a video about rarest things in Pokémon and I was mind blown. Since Pokémon is one of my greatest passions I have an extreme lot of and very clear childhood memories regarding the games. So when the part about mirage island was shown my jaw dropped. I remember the entire map of ruby/sapphire/emerald and that island is definitely a part of it. The catch is that I didn't new about it as a kid. So I just surfed over the sea to train grass Pokémon (my favorite type along with bug and ghost), saw the small island with a plant on it, got the berry and moved on.
