"[PSA] Is it known that you can use a Pokémon currently assigned to a gym in PvP battles provided you added it to a PvP Battle Team beforehand?"

#PokemonGO: Title. If you add a Pokémon to a League Battle Team, then go and add that Pokémon to a gym as a defender, then go ahead and perform a PvP battle, you can still use that same Pokémon you added to a gym. Bug?I have a Melmetal sitting in a gym for 2 days, and I am still able to use it in PvP battles.Video proof: https://imgur.com/a/78uupMp EDIT: Now that I think of it, I believe I know how I managed to trigger this bug... I have a second phone for when my primary phone runs out of battery mid-grinding. The second phone doesn't have the battle team created. When I added Melmetal to the gym, I did it on my second phone as my main phone ran out of battery at the time. That's probably how it happened. Still, the game should have prevented me from using Melmetal in a PvP battle if it's in a gym. Before I get a TOS comment - no, I don't use both phones at the same time. The second phone is a backup for when the first isn't available. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2SVn3Mp
