"Unpopular Opinion: Inverse Battles were an extremely underrated and utilized feature"
This might be an unpopular opinion, but Inverse Battles were one of the best things added in Generation 6 (along with Wonder Trading and Super Training). Having the type charts reversed opens up a bunch of new possibilities for team building and move coverage options and it allows for people who like traditionally bad types such as Grass, Rock, and Ice, a chance to actually enjoy their favorite types without needing to do type re-balance (I would still like to see type re-balancing , but that is a topic for another day ). The mode is a bit unbalanced (i.e. there being no Immunities and Steel having 10 weaknesses), but the mode still serves as an interesting alternative to normal battles. With that being said, it was sad to see how poorly utilized this game mode was in Gen 6; Being limited to single daily changes, several Ranked modes, and Secret Base Battles (I could never find anyone anyone else who set their base up for these battles). It is disappointing that the mode was never given its own battle facility mode,in vein of Doubles/Triples/ Rotation Battles at the Battle Maison, or made a regular multiplayer mode. Battle Royale (of all things) was able to get this treatment so why couldn't they have done this with Inverse Battles so there is a consistent way to experience this mode.I really hope I am not the only person would like Inverse Battles return in form or another in the Gen 8 games. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/2QFQnc9
