"Normal is the best Pokémon type."

While many Normal type Pokémon are poor in competition, they are bread and butter in my “in-game” play. Many learn strong moves and have ridiculously diverse movesets (Solarbeam Tauros anyone?). You can essentially make Normals, what you need them to be.Having trouble with Lt. Surge? Raticate can learn Dig. Suffering through team rockets endless zubats? Raticate can learn thunderbolt. And so can Tauros.Chansey can learn Shadowball, Psychic, Brickbreak, and Flamethrower. That covers 10 of the 16 types in GEN3. With one Pokémon. On defense, normal types are only super effected by one type, which means it’s hard to land OHKOs on them. They are also totally resistant to Ghost which makes Agatha a damn breeze with Chanseys shadowball.Normal types can actually be some of the most ridiculously strong Pokémon in the game. I always remember in GEN3 Double-Edge with Chansey was a LIGHTS OUT move. Pretty much any supereffective physical attack from Tauros can throttle any opponent.Anyway that’s my two cents. What do you guys think? via /r/pokemon http://bit.ly/2AT2Vnn
