"Please Do Not Increase the Difficulty of Raid Battles"
#PokemonGO: With the new Gen 4 wave out the announcement gave news of a lot of changes. Some seem like they have the potential to be cool like move changes, and I'm hoping the eventual move rebalance does something to address the plethora of downright terrible moves we have in the game. With the optimism out of the way, one line that mentioned Raid Pokemon being more "powerful and sturdy". This heavily implies to me that at the very least Raid Pokemon are getting an HP increase to raise their difficulty. For some players who have large communities this isn't a major issue. For many players who are rural this could potentially end high tier Raiding in general.Rural play already has a ton of disadvantages, and I'm sorry to say it's not exactly a biased opinion to say urban players have a much better play experience on almost every level. With a lot of recent changes, Raids have become more accessible to rural players because the maximum number of people we need is generally lower. This has been a major benefit for rural players and helps to close the gap and improve our play experience. My overall point is that making Raids harder does not make them better. Increasing the number of players you need to get a Raid done isn't making it more challenging, it's making it more exclusionary by locking people who can't reach those numbers of players out.I say all this in the hopes if Niantic really plans on making Raids harder, they understand what they're really doing is taking away many player's abilities to actually do many Raids. via /r/pokemongo http://bit.ly/2sXE65p
