"[Story] So Last Night, I Met the Mother of a Kid some Local Pokemon Go Fans Threw a Birthday Party For Three Years Ago..."

... and her story really shows how much power we have as a community to make a positive difference for one another.I was at a local restaurant, and the room got to talking about video games, which eventually lead me into talking what I was up to in Ultra Sun and then everyone into talking about Pokemon GO. It was then that Emily, one of the place's regulars, started to share her experience as the mother this story:http://bit.ly/2DOYsUB it's own, the story itself is powerful, but even more so is that the Pokemon community's action that day continue to make a difference in Hendrix's life to date. Before this event had happened, Hendrix had been pretty isolated due to how difficult it was for him to find friends or even simply talk about his interests, as he had little positive interaction with people outside his family up to that day. The support everyone showed him helped get the ball rolling on setting his life down the path of becoming a much more talkative, happier individual, and to this day Hendrix and Emily still talk about how great of a time they had on his fifth birthday. When we got done talking about her story, Emily asked if I could post this as both a thanks and a reminder that, as I noted in the beginning, we as Pokemon players (all of us: mainline, TGC, and, yes, GO) have the power to make not only small differences, but lasting ones in each other's lives. These days, it's easy to get hung up on negative discourse or to feel a sense of disconnect between ourselves as players, but it's important that we continue to show how much we value each member of our community whenever we can, as being told or shown that can make an unimaginable difference in someone's life. via /r/pokemon http://bit.ly/2WB99S1
