"Don't stop suggesting ideas. Don't stop talking about this game."

#PokemonGO: What's up everybody! I'm nobody in particular but here's my story anyways. I started playing Pokemon Go the day it launched. It was a dream come true! Pokemon were out in the wild! I left my house at 3am one day and followed the footprints to catch a squirtle that was out in my yard somewhere. I had to buy a new phone to play the game since my old one couldn't handle it. It was glorious. Me and my friends were travelling all over the state checking out any spawn areas we had heard about. "There's a machop nest 40 miles east let's go" "There's a great shopping plaza with 8 stops and insanse spawns w/magikarp and dratini about 30 miles north let's go". Fun stuff, good times. Sadly, the lack of gameplay outside of collecting what you could and the weird gym system and a lot of us being different teams(we didn't know the consequences it had) we all stopped playing. I lasted the longest backing out around the launch of Gen 2 but I remember all the shit we gave Niantic about their lack of communication("r") or our desires for the game and I was angry at them because they wouldn't let me change teams even though I had seen them give it to others.I stopped playing but would check in once a month or so but stayed subbed to the subreddit just to keep up with the news. I saw idea after idea and suggestion after suggestion and kept thinking "Guys, give it up, they don't care what you have to say, they're not listening to you". Boy was I ever wrong. When they announced the Let's go Pokemon games for the switch and it would connect to Pokemon Go I was intrigued. More importantly some of my family and friends were intrigued and BAM! We're all playing again. Problem is, this game is way different from what it was when I had played a year or two ago and there were A LOT of changes. Each time I discovered something new or learned something about the game, the post I had skimmed past on /r/pokemongo came back to mind. Let us walk with a buddy to earn candy. Give us a streak for catching/spinning. Give us berries that do more than just make them like us. Give us a super like berry. Give us big team battles for epic pokemon. Let us get a special evolution item for spinning a 7 day streak. Weather Boosts. Quests, quests that lead to special pokemon. Mass transfer. Gifts to send to friends. TM's, rare candies, Events/event based pokemon, a scroll bar, different sorting options, a "how we got it" on the pokemon's page, a scroll bar, bonuses from badges. I remembered seeing all of these scrolling by and thinking they were idiots for ever thinking Niantic would ever listen or do anything so ridiculous yet here we are.Now I've used a Medallion and am the same team as most of my friends and family so we can benefit from that. We've gotten my whole family to play and my Dad is now a higher level than my brother and it's hilarious. When Latias week was here I called my whole family and we had a family raid to get it. I'm playing the game again and loving every bit of it. The FB functionality allowed me to "play" with friends I didn't know played in other states/countries and it's glorious! I want to thank you all(and niantic) for the suggestions you've made to improve this game and ask you all to keep doing so! I'm sure this will get buried but I'm so glad this game has gotten better. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2HTxDB1
