"Issues with New AR Feature"

#PokemonGO: I haven't been able to find much on Reddit or Google about this, but I cannot interact with my Pokemon using the new AR feature. I've heard there's supposedly mechanics allowing me to assign Pokemon locations in which to pose but the only thing I can do is click my Pokemon to activate their roar animation.I play on a Samsung Galaxy S6.
