"[Rant] Holy crap do people get vicious over a Shinx raid"

#PokemonGO: So today, a rare Shinx raid (any non-T5) opened up, and with me and my 5-member discord mini-group getting bored with Rayquazza/Dialga, we wanted to give it a try for a shiny.When we got to that raid, here was this one person hanging out, getting all panicky. And then he yells at us, ”are you guys in this raid?” When we said yes, he threw a piss fit because ”can you guys back out because no one’s getting a shiny if there are 6 people in the lobby.” So apparently, this hack thinks that the more people in a T1 lobby, the less likely he’ll get the shiny Shinx.We then said if he didn’t like anyone else raiding with him, why not he do a private group for himself. And he yelled, ”because no one gets a shiny in a private raid group you f*ing idiots.”The funny thing about this is that we did back out, and he still got pissed off because of a random dad and his newborn in the stroller apparently joining his raid at the last minute. They did their raid, he didn’t get a shiny, and he mumbled expletives at the baby and father, and us too, as he walked away.We talked to the dad about that guy’s assholic attitude, as neither he nor the newborn (two separate accounts) get the shiny. And in our group of five, no one got shiny Shinx either when we did our raid.But God damn do people get all vicious over shinies; this is what makes Pokémon Go sometimes too toxic to play, dealing with meatheads like that. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2Ta1lUp
