"Receiving Eggs from Pokestops & Gyms Before Receiving the Hatch Animation"

#PokemonGO: So, in the past week, I have been screwed out of 7km eggs twice because of the apparent delay between an egg actually registering as complete, and you actually receiving the hatching animation. Both times, I was out spinning stops and trying to rake in the kms so I could hatch my eggs. I was intentionally holding onto a few people's gifts. The plan was to open the gifts after each egg hatched, so I could refill the open slot in the egg inventory with the gift exclusive 7km eggs.Most people here should already know that once an egg hatches, an opening is left in the 9 possible egg inventory slots. If you open a gift, you get a 7km egg. If you spin a stop, you get a random selection of 2km, 5km, or 10km eggs. As I mentioned, I've been waiting to open gifts to coincide with when I hatch an egg, so I can fill in the empty egg inventory slots with those sweet 7km eggs.The problem I've found, is that the game appears to have some manner of delay between it registering actually hatching the egg, and presenting the player with the hatching animation. As a result, it is possible (in my case twice in the past few days), to be moving around stops that can be spun, and unknowingly spin a stop AFTER the egg has hatched, but before the animation starts.This results in the empty egg inventory space being filled by one of the common egg types you get from spinning stops, and you being unable to then fill it with your gift egg. Typically, when this happens, the egg animation started IMMEDIATELY after exiting the pokestop or gym.I find this particularly frustrating. The opportunity to replace the egg should not occur before you are informed the egg has actually registered to the game as hatched. It on occasion ruins strategically opening gifts for 7km eggs, and is exceptionally frustrating, especially, since it appears there's no way to discard eggs. obviously, Niantic wants us to get rid of those eggs by buying extra incubators. Nothing wrong with that.I'm fine with not discarding eggs... I get it... Just...
