"The next Raid Bosses and what you should power up (Meta Analyses)"

#PokemonGO: 1.) Introduction:This thread should give a insight on what the next 5 star raid bosses in 2019 are and what pokemon we should consider powering up. While the exact date of these bosses is based on educated guesses and speculation, the needed counters of those bosses are based on facts with the help of simulations with pokebattler and https://dominikzen.com. I rated the specific types (fire, ice, ghost etc.) and the best pokemon of that categorie by using the following criteria:1) How often is this pokemon one of the best counters for a raid bosses2) Is it future prove and not a short term bandaid fix.2.1) What Bosses could come 2019In order to exclude certain types of of Pokemon we need to make educated guess on what is to come.2.2) Fact = We know they are coming:Latios (weak to Dragon, Dark, Ghost, Fairy, Bug, Ice)Deoxys (weak to Dark, Ghost, Bug)2.3) Educated guesses:Giratina Origin Form (weak to Dragon, Ghost, Dark, Fairy, Ice)Lake-Trio, Azelf etc (weak to Ghost, Dark, Bug)Regigigas (weak to Fighting)Alakazam (weak to Ghost, Dark, Bug)2.4) Speculation:Mewtwo (weak to Ghost, Dark, Bug)Lugia (weak to Ghost, Dark, Ice, Rock, electric)Birds incl. Ho-Oh (weak to Rock etc.)Raikou (weak to Ground)Suicune (weak to electric, grass)Entei (weak to water, ground, rock)Rayquaza (weak to Ice, Fairy, Rock, Dragon)3.) The future Meta:As seen overwhelmingly we will encounter psychic type pokemon and therefore ghost and dark type pokemon will be king in the future raid meta. Based on this information I made the following tier list (1 being the best and most used) and tier 4 being less used but still worth powering up.4.) Tier ListTIER 1:Tyranitar (Bite/Crunch)/(Smackdown/ Stone Edge)Gengar (Ghost Quick move and Shadowball)Weavile (Feint Attack/ Foul Play)Mewtwo (Psychocut/Shadowball)TIER 2:Rayquaza (Dragontail/Outrage)Rampardos (Smackdown/Rockslide)Mamoswine (Powder Snow/Avalanche)TIER 3:Groudon (Mud Shot/ Earthquake)Electivire (Thundershock/ Wild Charge)Machamp (Counter/ Dynamic Punch)TIER 4:Rhyperior (Mud Shot/Smack Down / Earthquake//Stone Edge)Pinsir (Double Bug Type)Dragonite (If you missed out on Ray)Honchkrow (Snarl/ Dark Pulse) /alternative to Tier 15.) ConclusionAs mentioned the Meta in 2019 will be dominated by new Pokemon of the psychic type and older Pokemon getting a rerelease with their potential shiney form (beasts). Some Pokemon are worth giving a 2nd charge move like Rhyperior. With the help of a fast TM giving it ground and rock coverage. It should be noted that Fire, Water, Grass types have no spot in the meta and are not worth investing star dust. As a backup if Niantic does something out of left field it's worth to evolve all community day starter over level 30 having a 6 man squad as backup with their respective community day move. Thanks for reading any feedback I would happy to add.Tldr: Power Up Tier List Pokemon. Don't power up Grass, Fire, Water Pokemon. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2UTbMxD
