"The noob's guide to catching Rayquaza"

#PokemonGO: Caught my first Rayquaza after my first ever 5 star duo today, and also caught it in my girlfriend 's account for her. Here's what you need to remember. 1) It is a patience game. Look up the circle lock technique. Rundown, you hold the pokeball until the circle is small enough for great and then move your hand away, and then wait for Ray to attack. With the circle size fixed, throw it so that it lands on Ray just after his attack finishes. 2) It's better to have smaller circle great throws than outside the circle throws trying to get an excellent one. The difference is less than 3% or so in catchrate, but the difference is too high when it's not in the circle at all. 3) You'll need to throw violently. Move your finger so that it goes from the bottom of the screen to around 3/4 of the center of the Rayquaza (in the bottom position) in a whipping motion 4) Only throw the ball when loopy boi is in its lower position. It's very hard to reach the distance in the bottom position, let alone in the top position. Wait. Wait. And wait. It's a little hard to tell, but if you're hovering the ball for a long time, it should show you the difference. 6) If it's your first time catching Ray, always use Golden Razzberry. You can use rare candy on it later. You won't get back this Ray. Be relaxed; most people try and hurry it up after the first few times Ray gets out. Don't. It gets out for everybody. You have all the time in the world to get it. Or at least until your girlfriend starts giving you "the eye". Edit: grammar EDIT 2: Electric Boogaloo - 6/6 now, and that is without the gold dragon medal via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2W38DLv
