"Unpopular Opinion: CD time change from 3-6 was much better!"
#PokemonGO: Reading through the posts questioning whether or not everyone liked the time being changed to a universal 3-6 PM made me realize my opinion is very much in the minority. The majority of comments seemed to reflect thoughts such as: "With the new timing it felt like we were waiting around for community day to start, and once it was over, the day was gone", "had to cut my CD short to go home and make dinner", "at least with the time from 11-2 people could catch on lunch", and " Having to wait for 3pm was bad.. "What I think the majority of players fail to realize it that not everyone works the normal 9-5 workday, even on the weekends. I know personally I work nights. I get home at 8 AM, sleep til about 2:30 or 3, and then go back to work at 6 PM. Having had every previous CD occur during the middle of the day meant I: 1) had to skip sleep (which is hard when I am gone 14-15 hours a day, or 2) skip the CD altogether. The time change to a more universal 3-6 PM may have prevented some players from grinding out 15+ shiny's, but it also enabled more players (in my biased experience) to enjoy a little of the CD day.Of course, with the wide variety of work schedules, hours, and workplace limitations, there is no solution that will please everyone except either allowing each player to choose their time, or extending CD to 12+ hours.I personally only was able to catch about 12-15 Treecko's, but I didn't have to get up after 3 hours of sleep, I got enough candies to evolve 1 very good CD mon, and I also got a shiny, so I was sublimely happy!!Thoughts? via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2JFVc2W
