"Adventure Sync barely working"

#PokemonGO: For the past 3 weeks, Adventure Sync has only been pulling in a fraction of my steps, and I can't figure out why. I average 8,000-14,000 steps a day, and am only getting credit for ~1,000 steps.Before this started, I was getting at least 6 km/ day, and now I'm gettin 6 km/ week. Anyone else with this issue?
