"An explanation of the "new gym with late raid" phenomenon - it's not only gyms!"

#PokemonGO: About these infamous "new gyms"... I've been piecing this together for a while, but I believe I've figured it out.Any Ingress portals created after a certain date (I don't know the exact date) do not seem to adjust for DST.Whether these are stops or gyms, it doesn't matter. There are a lot of new Pokéstops being created by our local Ingress players, and they do not reset their quests at midnight like the rest - they reset at 1am instead. You could technically do the same quest twice, as the game itself clears the "research completed" check at midnight and will give you that same task back for another hour.So if the new portal is a stop, it will have a rolling 1am-1am research cycle, if the new portal is a gym, it will have its raid hours shifted forward by 1 (so starting an hour later, ending an hour later in terms of when eggs can spawn)Now, what about stops that turned into gyms? Those behave normally, as the portal was created before that specific date. When Niantic did their "EX gym sync" recently, former stops that became gyms got an EX eligibility tag, but brand new portal-gyms inside parks did not. Said stops that turned into gyms have newly created stops near them (which is what caused the original portal to turn into a gym), which will have that 1am quest reset as I mentioned, but the original portal (now a gym) has the normal raid times. What I do not know is the date in which things changed - it may have been when the new Ingress Prime app was launched and the original one renamed to Scanner Redacted? If anyone can help pinpoint that, that would be nice. This is only really observable half the year, as when we are not in DST, these new portals are on the same clock as the old ones. But, when our clocks move forward for DST, the new ones do not move back an hour to adjust for it, and everything is now an hour later.Sorry if this is old news, but I haven't seen a thorough write-up yet. Feel free to test this yourself - if you know a Pokéstop was a recent addition near you, spin it to get the research task, toss it, then come back between midnight and 1am and you'll get the same task. Then try after 1am and it'll be different. If any of you play Ingress and know of some major platform change that happened in the past couple years, that might help me identify when the magic date is. I believe it was greater than a year ago, but less than two years ago. This "new gym with late raid" phenomenon happened a year ago as well, after Niantic nerfed raid times in the US.tl;dr: Any new Ingress portals created after [unknown date] do not adjust for DST and thus start and end an hour later than they should (whether raids on a gym or field research on a stop) via /r/TheSilphRoad http://bit.ly/2Xr8LoP
