"How to encounter more Omanyte/Kabuto? (rural/casual players wya)"

#PokemonGO: TL;DR What are some tricks you guys use to find spawns you need but are rarer in your area, specifically Omanyte/Kabuto? (Mom and I are rural players trying to complete Melmetal research.)So my mother and I are two of those noobs that still haven’t finished the Melmetal special research. It’s not that we don’t play a lot— Mom’s a level 37 and I’m over halfway through level 38, despite being from a very rural area (we did take a short break for a while, around months 8/9 of the game being out). The problem is, BECAUSE of our location, a lot of the rare research Pokemon just. won’t. spawn.Hence our current position. I got us both through stage 8 by looking up the Pokémon rewards for daily research and research-grinding until we got what we wanted, but the only research that gives Kabuto/Omanyte rewards is “win a level 3 or higher raid.” We both have one of those sitting in our research slots right now, but even this is hard to complete as a) the two of us have to be together to take on one of those raids (and I’m away at university for a lot of the year) and b) again, rural freaking area. via /r/pokemongo http://bit.ly/2UI2HKS
