"[Observation] The new recommended party algorithm does NOT consider second charged moves"

#PokemonGO: It has been 2 weeks since the recommendation algorithm changed. It has been discovered that the new algorithm is based on damage done by a single charged move (much better than before, but still recommend Close Combat Machamps over Dynamic Punch). Well, after some observations today, I think it can be refined further: the algorithm is based on damage done by a single shot of the FIRST charged move of the Pokémon.Today I fought a gym with only a Blissey in it. My fighting team consists of a Level 40 100% Machamp with Counter/Rock Slide/Dynamic Punch, and several level 37 Machamps with Counter/Dynamic Punch. The recommended party I got was full of single-move Dynamic Punch Machamps sorted by level, but the Level 40 double move Machamp was nowhere in sight. It seems like the algorithm only calculated damage dealt by a single Rock Slide, and did not consider the second charged move Dynamic Punch at all. This might seem like a minor issue especially if you don't have many raid attackers with second moves. But if you do, and if the desirable charged move is the second move, be a bit more careful to the recommended team because your best counters are probably not in there at all. via /r/TheSilphRoad http://bit.ly/2GAFiSN
