If you’re not going to have enough coins to purchase the current Ultra box, go ahead and buy an Event box right now. We don’t currently know how many days the box will last, complicating this issue. Legendary Raid rotation is May 28th (this is also the end of this current event). The 31st will be the box’s 14th day in the shop. Both of these are possible days the Ultra box will leave the shop.Coins Needed to purchase Ultra Box by indicated date:May 28May 29May 30May 31June13301280123011801130Values assume 50 daily coins. Dates may need adjustment considering your timezone.If you have less than the indicated amount of coins, you’re in Option 1. Option 1 really has 2 options here in that they can buy the Event box or save for future better deals. You should realize that the last comparable boxes were over a year ago and consider picking up an Event Box or two. It’s always possible that this Ultra box sticks around longer than expected. It’s always possible that these sales are a sign of things to come. However, it is also entirely possible that we don’t see another comparable sale for another year.Option 2 is also pretty straightforward. If your coin count matches up with the above chart, you’ll likely be able to buy an Ultra box. Trainers with this many coins should consider not buying an Event box, even though they currently cannot buy the Ultra box. This also goes against everything I just said, so consider the risks involved. The less coins you currently have, the longer the wait, the bigger the risk.~Option 3 is probably a small set of people. Players with over 1480 current coins may want to purchase an Event box now, even if doing so will make them unable to also buy an Ultra box (immediately). The logic is simple, when the current Ultra box leaves the shop, if you are left with 480-1479 coins, you could have purchased an additional Event box (or two).
