"Have there been less raids this raid week? May Niantic have changed a variable the wrong way?"

#PokemonGO: In the past, it was pretty widely accepted that each gym would have a raid 3 times per day. In America, our raid window is from 5am to 7:30pm (from first hatch to last expiration), bar a few odd gyms that run late, which is an 870 minute window. If each raid has a 105 minute cycle (60 egg, 45 active), then 3 raids per day would be 415 minutes. 415/870 is 47.7...%Hypothetically, you should see just under half gyms having raids on average.Lapras day confirmed I could see 27 gyms in my city at a time, since it showed the total on the nearby tracker.Extrapolated, I should see usually 13 raids on average on the nearby.Only once have I seen it over 10 this entire week. I thought maybe it was because I get home late (after last spawn for raids) and all the raids were done earlier in the day. But even these past couple mornings for weekend, I've got nothing over 10.We had 9 in range this morning, and an hour later, it's down to 3. Only 2 new raids spawned, with one left over from the previous check. Is anyone else noticing abysmal numbers? May it be that raids for the event are more concentrated midday and I just haven't had the opportunity to sample because of work and then Lapras event being right at midday? via /r/TheSilphRoad http://bit.ly/2K7C8sX
