"How many of you are XP snobs even though you’re already Level 40?"

#PokemonGO: I have some friends that are already Level 40, yet they won’t gift me to become ‘Best Friends’ until it benefits them. They asked me to wait until the next Community Day or their next Legendary Raid because they want the most XP possible while using a Lucky Egg.I asked why because they’re already Level 40. They said that eventually the level cap will be raised and they want all of their points to carry into the new cap. Is this common? I’m almost to Level 39 and I need all the XP I can get, so this is rather annoying. I’m respecting it, but just had to ask if it’s common or not. via /r/pokemongo http://bit.ly/2PKvCsX
