"Ahead of Pokemon GO Fest, Here Are the Best Places to Play in Chicago"

#PokemonGO: Hello Everyone!Chicago native here. As several people fly in for Pokémon GO Fest Chicago in the coming weeks, I've compiled a list of places near Grant Park that you need to check out. These spots are absolutely amazing for grinding Stardust and XP, raiding, or sightseeing while playing.Video Version:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9nJEYHR2ToMillennium Park -By far this is the best meeting place for Pokémon GO Fest. It's just a three minute walk from the North Entrance, and there are plenty of Gyms, Pokéstops, and spawn points to keep you busy while you wait for your group. The Loop -Chicago's financial and business district, this area is a few blocks away from Grant Park and has the highest density of Pokéstops and Gyms. Its perfect for wafu raiding, or a stardust grind.Navy Pier -This touristy section is a ten minute cab ride from Grant Park. Its Chicago's version of Santa Monica Pier, with one of the craziest Cluster Spawns I've ever seen at the tail end of it. This is a prime destination for families, and friends who want to spend the day doing touristy things. A BIG plus about Navy Pier is that you can actually play entirely indoors. So if the weather gets bad, head over here and play to your heart's content.Lincoln Park Zoo -Unequivocally the BEST place to play Pokémon GO in Chicago. If you came here for Pokémon GO Fest last year, then you should be familiar with this zoo. It has the highest number of spawn points and Pokéstops in a small area. To really utilize this space, however, you will need to bring lures.Gold Coast/Michigan Ave -Like Navy Pier, this is a bit more tourist-y. There are a ton of stops and gyms and spawn points throughout the Mag Mile (Michigan Ave). Its also filled with shops, restaurants, and some good sightseeing. If you want a place to play with some attractions, head on over here.Museum Campus -This used to be the single best place to play back in the day, but its fizzled out over time. It still has some great spawn points and walking paths, and it also has a unique double-overlapping nest which you can't find elsewhere in Chicago. If you are coming to Chicago, remember to be safe, be aware, and have fun!edit: Every one of these places are considered "safe", but Chicago's reputation does precede it. Its best to stay in a group, and don't go out to these areas late at night (most will be closed after 11PM anyway) via /r/TheSilphRoad http://bit.ly/315khJ7
