"Let’s Be Honest, the Outrage is More than the National Dex."
So, there’s a quite a few issues with Sword and Shield. Not every Pokémon being in is definitely one of them. The graphics are another. But more than that, it’s the amount of content in the more recent games. For example, XY and SuMo had less Pokémon/postgame content than before and lacked in the story department. That’s why there are concerns. When GameFreak starts dropping a lot of stuff for less and less, it just feels rushed. Battle Frontier in ORAS is an example. To be honest though, I’d be okay with taking out the National Dex/every Pokémon if it meant getting a larger variety of new Pokémon, a lot of post game content that’s enjoyable, and good story. But GameFreak has done nothing to address those fears. It just really feels like Pokémon has become much more serialized and more about the money than it used to. There’s no real soul in the games ever since the transition to 3D models, and I don’t think we’re better off. We got Pokémon that perpetually fly (Wingull), emotionless main characters, and a much slower feel overall. The games were so much better when they were sprite based. Ever since, it’s gone downhill imo.I just miss the games that I knew when I was younger. It was a world that I could get lost in and love the charms of it. A shakeup to this tired formula feels so necessary. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/322NEw6
