Nintendo’s biggest IPs are Mario, Zelda, and Pokémon. With both Mario Odyssey and BoTW receiving so much love and care put into their games wouldn’t you think they would want to do the same with Pokémon Sword and Shield? Both Odyssey and BoTW took risks and progressed forward with their series, each adding great new elements, keeping their games fresh and exciting. But what is Game Freak/Nintendo doing to innovate and progress the Pokémon series? removing National Dex support? Adding Dynamaxing? It doesn’t even seem like the graphics improved much from the 3DS. And does Gamefreak care? No. I hope Gamefreak/Nintendo hear our continued dissatisfaction and make a change! Until then I will not be buying Sword and Shield, and I will not be supporting Game Freak.
