"How is Candy color determined?"

#PokemonGO: This seems like a question that gets asked not too rarely, but near zero research has been done on it. Here is just a few things we do know about Candy color:It is based on the first-stage (not including Babies)Not always the "default" form (Candy based on Trash Burmy and East Shellos)Does not exactly match the tcg texture files from the Pokemon models, for example...I personally colorpicked a few Pokemon models and found Candy colors to be much brighter on averageAbsol and Tauros seemed pretty close, but Mewtwo and Bulbasaur were waaaay offUxie, Mesprit and Azelf, despite having the same red "jewels", all use slightly different shades of red in their CandyHere is a sample comparison of the manually color-picked Candy colors vs using the tcg texture file's colors (left shows Actual Candy color, right shows model texture color)https://ift.tt/32fxmA9 a very recent update, Pinap Berry animation uses Candy colorsThe main question, in my opinion is whether or not Candy color is computer-generated or manually determined by developers? A lot of online sources that have some of the Candy colors, but they appear to be manually color-picked by users rather than take from some source code. Here is my spreadsheet of all the Candy colors to date: Candy color spreadsheetSpreadsheet images generated using this very handy tool: https://ift.tt/2NWzj1F via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2G1fwaT
