"Slugma"

#PokemonGO: A few months ago, my college friends and I back into Pokemon Go mostly because a local boba shop offered discounts based off of your level. Within those few months, we did raids together and traded Pokemon and went out as a group for community days. However, we found a new obsession about 2 months ago: dongomons. There was really nothing special about dongomons and by most people's standards, they are horrible Pokemon due to their terrible stats. All we cared about was that the IV's were shaped like male genitalia. We would rename the blessed Pokemon with innuendos and post pictures in our group chat before transferring and overall, it's given us many good chuckles especially when it comes to creative names. However, it wasn't enough for us. There needed to be an ultimate dongomon. One that would put the others to shame and rule over them all. Through a casual conversation with a friend in a different college, while we flexed our rare catches, my friend said the 2 words that would change the course of our efforts: slugma balls. My friend had no idea about the dongomons, but those words clicked for me. I now had a purpose, a drive. I told my dongomon hunter friends and we decided this was a worthy cause to pursue. The rules were as followed:The slugma must have been found in the wild. It cannot have been traded.The Attack and HP stats must be equal.The Attack and HP must be a 5 or lower when appraised.The Defense stat must be over 10.With that, we set a loose prize pool. Some people offered to put $5 in a pot and other put their Mewtwos. At any rate, the next few weeks were riddled with anticipation and fear. Every picture sent into the chat put every one of us on edge but it was usually another dongomon and not even a slugma. Many close calls were found and with the Halloween event, the slugmas got scarce.Today, there was finally a breakthrough. I had spent the morning preparing for an organic chemistry midterm tonight and woke up from a short nap to go to class when I looked at the radar and saw a slugma close by. I took a detour to my organic chemistry class as it was somewhat on the way and hoped real hard that it would be the one to rule them all and I couldn't believe my eyes when I pressed the appraise button: https://ift.tt/31JrPQY quest has at last come to an end. My nickname in the chat is now Slugma Balls and although it sounds anticlimactic, our next steps are just to continue pursuing dongomons. Hopefully my 10 year old brother who shares my Pokemon Go account won't transfer him. Maybe we'll find caterpeepees or mrdreavus or something next.
