"You can get 100km a week with Adventure Sync without going all out being super active."
#PokemonGO: First up, yes, if you can't get AS to work reliably, 100km most definitely is as hard as you think. I literally gave up on getting it to work routinely on my S9. But I have an old second hand iphone 6s that it seems to work perfectly on so that's what I use. My sympathies for anyone that can't get it working. However, IF it's working it's relatively easy to get 100km.I work from home. Some days I don't even leave the house. I sure as hell don't do marathons. I live on a rural property and can't even really go for a walk down the road as it's pretty dangerous with a thin verge and large trucks zooming up and down the hill.So what do I do? I basically wear the phone like one of those prison ankle monitors (although around my upper calf). That is to say, every step I take all week is counted.Like. I probably get 1km just going to the bathroom.I just checked then, I got 0.62km taking my son to daycare, ie packing his lunch in the kitchen, walking to the car, walking him into daycare, walking back to the car, walking back to the house etc. Now, the average person probably only does about 30-50km of incidental movement a week, however when you see the KMs whirring up you start taking advantage of it.. When I take a phone call I pace around the room or up and down the hall. When I IV an energy drink into my veins it picks up my restless leg. I start doing smaller things to rack up KMs, park at the wrong end of the mall for the shop I want so I have to walk the longest possible route, find excuses to take the kids for a walk etc. When you start measuring you find ways to bring your KMs up in ways that don't significantly effect your free time. A trip to the supermarket for me is just free KMs wandering around the aisles. And then maybe you do set aside one bloc of exercise time per week if you're not quite meeting your goal. I ride a bike for a couple of hours at least once a week at 10.5km/hr which is a super comfortable speed to grind Pogo at. I wouldn't want to have to ride much faster as I'd fatigue earlier or crash into something. But that's because I'm riding to play Pogo, not commuting.I easily passed 100km this week (Still two eggs, not three and the 10km was Riolu btw) without being some crazy active person, without ANY GPS drift or putting my phone in a sock or something.. Just wearing my phone..I'm posting this precisely because of how lazy and not active I am with a super sedentary job I don't even have to commute to. If I can do it, at the cost of looking a little silly with a thing strapped to my leg, you probably can too! via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2PyYPt1
