#PokemonGO: Last night I tried to evolve my buddy Woobat to Swoobat. I got an error during the animation sequence “could not evolve at this time” but in my Pokémon list it showed as Swoobat. In my profile and buddy screens however, it was still Woobat. I thought it was weird but closed the app expecting it to resolve when I next launched the game.This morning when I launched the app it loaded and logged in as usual. The map/overworld loaded fine, and Pokémon spawns appeared. But I cannot interact with the game at all. I can’t open my profile or the menu, tap on a Pokémon, connect my Go+ or open the nearby list. I can’t even rotate the map. It is literally unplayable. The only visible difference is that my buddy thumbnail is missing. Like - the entire icon is gone.I’ve tried closing and relaunching the app. I’ve rebooted my phone. I’ve logged into my children’s accounts from my phone and they work fine. I’ve logged into my account from a different phone and had the same problem. It seems like a glitch on my account, possibly triggered by the wonky evolution last night. It’s been that way all day. I missed Community Day entirely and still can’t play.In desperation I contacted Niantic support about an hour before community day. I explained everything I described above in about the same level of detail and told them I’d already tried the troubleshooting steps to no avail.To date I have received 3 responses from Niantic support. Literally all of them merely tell me to review the online troubleshooting guides and take obvious actions (such as making sure I have the official app installed) that I have already told them I tried. Each time I respond I ask them to please read my previous emails for details of the situation because troubleshooting guides don’t work.I’m really worried that unless they actually read what I’ve written they won’t fix my account and 4 years of play, quite a bit of in game purchases, multiple Pokémon event tickets and literal global travel will have gone to waste. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2vY3Fb8
