"Isn't it likely Niantic changed the rating system for PVP, and it is not a bug"

#PokemonGO: All i am seeing in the last 2 days is reports of people complaining they were rank 9 or 10 in pre-season and now they are only rank 7 and saying it is broken.Isn't it more likely Niantic changed the way the ranks work to a more logical system?Pre-season: Win a lot in ranks 1-6 and another unknown factor(some say badges, others say total xp) and you go straight to rank 10 on the 2nd day.Season 1: It appears after rank 6 you go to rank 7 with a rating that reflects your win% and from there you need to keep battling to climb higher in ranks.It's a more logical system that you need to earn rank 8,9,10, the same way you earn rank 2-6 rather than just being handed it on day 2.I'm sure it's very unpopular due to how pre-season ranking went, but you cant really expect to hit the top tier and be rewarded the gold medal (Pika Libre) on day 2 of a 7 week season can you? via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2U0fKoA
