"GBL Ultra League Meta Report (Season 1, Rank 8): Yes, It's the Giratina-A Show"
#PokemonGO: Here are the top 20 Pokemon I've seen through 150 matches so far in Season 1 Ultra League (Rank 8, Rating ~2100):PokemonNumber (share of teams)Leads (share of leads)Giratina (Altered)73 (50%)24 (17%)Venusaur43 (30%)16 (11%)Swampert37 (26%)10 (7%)Togekiss30 (21%)6 (4%)Snorlax24 (17%)11 (8%)Muk (Alolan)21 (14%)6 (4%)Clefable21 (14%)6 (4%)Charizard18 (12%)8 (6%)Poliwrath14 (10%)9 (6%)Empoleon13 (9%)7 (5%)Melmetal11 (8%)2 (1%)Mewtwo (Armored)7 (5%)1 (1%)Typhlosion7 (5%)3 (2%)Gyarados7 (5%)3 (2%)Articuno6 (4%)2 (1%)Lapras6 (4%)4 (3%)Steelix5 (3%)2 (1%)Granbull5 (3%)0 (0%)Feraligatr5 (3%)5 (3%)Blastoise4 (3%)2 (1%)All Others78 (54%)18 (12%)No huge surprises, but the meta is a bit different at this level than at higher ratings (I assume!). If you're a middling PvPer like me, you really don't need to worry about a lot of supposed top-tier threats like Giratina-O, Cresselia, any of the Regis, etc. Half my opponents have run Giratina-A and after that it's mostly starters and Tina counters. With a ~50% win rate like mine I'm hardly in a position to be offering advice, but in experimenting with a wide variety of teams I've generally had the most success with Dragonite as a lead and some combination of Venusaur, Machamp, Swampert, Charizard or Togekiss in the back. Good luck out there! via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2X7ph0B
