"How our Buddies could save our sanity in the coronavirus outbreak- delivery!"
#PokemonGO: Oddly enough, the inspiration from this comes from a story about a dog being used to help keep workers and customers separated and healthy- by delivering goods and payment from one to the other. What if we could send our Buddy Pokemon out to pick up items and research from a Pokestop or Gym? The location would still have to be visible, and the further away it was, the longer it would take for your Pokemon to arrive and return. Higher friendship levels with your Buddy would increase it's speed. A trip to a stop just out of reach might take a minute or less, while sending your Buddy to the edge of visibility could take 5 minutes or more. I'd suggest it having a maximum "speed" equal to egg-hatching movement maxes. The Buddy would then head for the location, interact with it on the map in some fashion (we know they can already travel long distances from the user) and then return having "spun" the location for you with a package much like the occasional gifts Buddies give you now, giving you an effective remote spin, the items from said spin, and research (or if a Gym, a raid pass) if available. During the process, buddies cannot be used or swapped until they get back from their pickup. The Buddy must be on the field- that is, fed enough to be wandering around the map to be sent. This would provide a slow, limited method that people who can't get out to stops could use to continue to play the game for Special Research, spin streaks, and so on- and players in lockdown would have a better chance to resupply themselves over the course of their confinement. via /r/pokemongo https://ift.tt/2xQrdjr
