"My humble opinion on the new coin system"

#PokemonGO: As new features get added, like remote raids, like raids in general, Pokémon Go gets more and more coin dependent. Especially for remote raids you need coins to take part. But contrary to this trend, Niantic actually decreases the amount of coins you can get. As raids where added, the gym system changed at the same time limiting the daily coins from 100 to 50. With remote raids now being added, the coin limit was decreased again essentially. And that’s a scam. Why do I come to this conclusion?First of all it is more demanding to do all the tasks than to just drop a Pokémon into a gym and hoping it gets kicked out. But with most of the tasks being part of your daily routine in the game, that’s not my gripe. I‘m okay with a change. The issue is the „win a raid“ task. From my experience, this task appears about 2/3 of the days, forcing you to go out and spend your free raid pass. This is usually a lot more time consuming than conquering a gym. But what if you can’t go outside or there are no gyms on your nearby? (For whom the system was changed in the first place) Then you don‘t get the 30 coins from gyms either way. What you get is the occasional 20 free coins from the tasks. But with the raid task existing and being as common as it is, this opportunity does not exist all to often. For most days, like I said, about 2/3 of the days, Niantic wants people to spend their raid passes. And what happens as you do that, since there is still no free remote raid pass? Then you spend 100 coins to get 20. With this being to case most of the time you either have the choice to get a marginal, actually free coin share of 20 every 3rd day. Making it possible to buy a storage upgrade a month (this sound wrong on its own). But when you want to take advantage of your everyday free coins, you essentially lose or raid for Pokémon you don’t care about. With this being said, with the new coin system, as it stands right now, you are still dependent on gyms in your area and you being able to leave the house. Furthermore it is more time consuming. So in my humble opinion, it is pretty telling, that every time a new paid feature gets added, the free coins are decreased. I won‘t go into further investigation. But what I urge you is to only spend money and raid passes on things you have fun doing and don‘t fall for the free coin scam. And Niantic if you hear me, don’t you think people are more willing to spend, if they don‘t feel themselves forced or mucked? via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/3iCcj28
