"What happened to actual ultra unlock *bonuses* in 2020?"

#PokemonGO: Ultra unlock bonuses have been pretty awesome previous years, but seem incredibly lackluster this time around.This year we gotOne week of increased Gible spawns (amazing)2 Deino encounters through research (decent)One week of increased Roggenrola spawns (eh?)... and that's pretty much it. None of the other features are actual bonuses but rather standard run-of-the-mill events. Sure, potentially getting your first unown is nice, but that's not really a bonus since you're only getting them through raids - that's merely Niantic pressing one of their many money printing buttons. Same goes for Unova week where the "bonus" is basically "it was time to drop a few more pokemon anyway so we decided to label it as an ultra unlock".Now compare that to what we got last year:one week of:2x catch candy+1 rare candy per raid½ hatch distance2x hatch candyAnother with:3x catch XP2x Raid XP3x Hatch XP1 hour Lucky EggsAnd finally a week of:3x catch Stardust3000 Stardust per raid3x hatch Stardust1 hour Star PiecesAnd last but certainly not least a total of 12 extra free raid passes across the legendary beast days.I think it's fair to say that what we got this year was massively underwhelming compared to the amazing bonuses from last year and I'm honestly quite surprised that I'm seemingly the first one making the disappointing comparison. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/3gXQcTD
