"With remote raids finally in the game, it's a prime opportunity for Niantic to have another go at Aeroblast Lugia"

#PokemonGO: Lugia raid weekend was cancelled mid march because of coronavirus, but now that remote raiding has proven a fantastic alternative to raiding in person, its safe to say that trainers will be able to handle Lugia with no fear of losing via lack of help. I don't see any other boss it could logically be, as we just had access to all the Gen I, Gen III and most of Gen IV legendaries at go fest. We also had the beasts in rocket research prior to corona, we had a Lati weekend mid june, and of course the Tao Trio just finished its cycle (kind of). The only Legendaries left are:Ho-Oh & Lugia (even though we just had Ho-Oh in research, Lugia was promised and cancelled)Regi Trio + Gigas (possible, its been almost a year but they already had several releases, including shiny release)Lake Trio (possible, but unlikely as theres no logical reason besides filler, plus they spawn in the wild would be a good opportunity for trainers to buddy up with overseas players to get regionals with remote passes)Lunar Duo (unlikely so close to halloween)Kami Trio - Therian Form (unlikely, regular forms were as recent as April 2020)Kyurem B/W (possible, but is one of the most meta-defining pokemon. IMO unlikely they'd drop it so close to the release of megas, I can't imagine they'd want to steal the thunder from megas)Another option is mega evolutions. it's safe to say that they are coming out soon, given the bracelets were added to the game master, and they've been featuring pokemon that will mega evolve in recent events / artwork. It's the perfect time to have a big release, the end of the summer is here and it would be a strong closer to the season. However, I strongly think that mega evolutions will not be obtainable via raiding, as they said you will evolve existing pokemon, and it likely has something to do with the buddy system. For this reason, I think it's likely to be Lugia, and if we're lucky Ho-Oh with sacred fire isn't far behind. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2XJD0dq
