"Don't be afraid to use your less-than-perfect mons in PvP"
#PokemonGO: TL;DR - Perfect PvP IVs don't confer that much of an advantage. Don't be afraid of using your favorite Pokemon with "bad" IVs in your PvP teams! There has been a lot of chatter today on my local Discord about people trying to coordinate trades with one another to try and get the best possible Cress for UL. People who have passed up using Cress for UL because they are waiting until they can get the perfect IVs. Others are crushed because they finally got a shiny Cresselia with less-than-ideal Ultra League IVs. My advice? Just use it anyway. For those of you who may not know, based on PvPoke, the perfect Cresselia for UL is 1-15-13. You can only obtain that by trading with Good Friends. The best you can get from a raid is 10-15-15 and the best you can get from a Best Friend trade is 5-12-15. Many think that if you put in that fabled 1-15-13 Cress into any UL team, you will instantly crush all opposition and hit rank 10.If min-maxing is your thing, by all means, go for it! But if you're just looking for a good mon for battling, you don't necessarily need to go crazy trying to get the most out of Cresselia in PvP.1-15-13 wins 85.9% of 1-1 UL matches (Good friend trade)5-12-15 wins 84.8% of 1-1 UL matches (Best friend trade)10-15-15 wins 84.3% of 1-1 UL matches (Best possible from raid)15-5-5 *the worst possible from Best Friend trade* wins 80% of 1-1 matcheshttps://pvpoke.com/team-builder/all/2500/cresselia-37-1-15-13-4-4-1-m-1-4-2%2Ccresselia-35.5-5-12-15-4-4-1-m-1-4-2%2Ccresselia-33-10-15-15-4-4-1-m-1-4-2Team comp and play style are much more important than IVs. Unless you are into min-maxing or you are playing in high-level competition - there could be some important pokemon that you lose to in that 5% - there is not enough of a difference to keep you from using your favorite shiny or whatever in PvP, IMO.Voltaire was right - perfect is the enemy of good. You may be missing out on some fun in PvP if you wait until you get the perfect 'mon. Use the team that you like! via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/2FuyhG0
