"Meta Implications: Pidgeot with Gust"

#PokemonGO: [article link]We've finally got the stats for Gust! It's a Flying Fast move with 4 DPT/3 EPT in PvP, and in PvE it's 25 damage, 20 energy, 2 second duration. In short, pretty good! You'll be able to get it on Pidgeot if you evolve a Pidgeotto during Go Battle Night, Thursday the 24th. So: is it good?Short version, ehhh. It's better than Legacy Wing Attack Pidgeot, but not meaningfully so, and it's still Pidgeot. While it's a Great Flying-type as a Mega, if you're not investing that energy it's pretty outclassed. In PvP, it's similar. Overall, it outperforms Wing Attack (with a few exceptions), but it's still not great. That said, there are some other Pokémon that could also learn Gust that could really benefit from its power! Ho-Oh and Lugia are two big ones, but Pokémon like Vespiquen, Tropius, and Articuno could appreciate it as well!Remember, though: Don't evolve a Pidgeot until Thursday! It'd feel bad and it's really not worth the Elite TM. via /r/TheSilphRoad https://ift.tt/3cqqcyR
