"Pokémon has a lot of potential as a open world game."

I’m not talking about the wild area in sword shield. To me it wasn’t that big. The only reason to go there is to catch something you want and to get candies. You are only required to go there a few times so to me it’s easily forgettable. I’m talking all open world no routes no specific order just doing what you want. I’m not making suggestions since this is unofficial but I just want to talk about how much potential it would have and imagining it. The end goal would be the same but I would think the combat system to be way different. I’d think a astral chain like or pollen tournament field mode would fit it a lot. Or maybe a mix of the two. The gimmick might be synchronization or something. Since you’re moving around a lot it would be pretty fun to have a ash greninja kind of thing. This open world thing would also allow you to have Pokémon following you. This would also make the kind of mystery vibe I think sword and shield were going for this might also make the legendary Pokémon optional. If you want to there might be a quest by the professor to go to the ruins and explore them. Kind of like the shrines in legend of Zelda breath of the wild. If I’m missing anything let me know please. via /r/pokemon https://ift.tt/2OEoqlL
